There were replacement parts for TV, Stereo, and other electronics made by some of the major manufacturers. Sylvania ECG became Philips ECG, and RCA had their own series that was eventually also acquired by SGS Thompson (later ST Microdevices) , which were the SK Series of parts.  In the 1960s, RCA sold SK Series transistors in the SK-30XX series that were germanium transistors, which I have used in the past for audio applications.  Welcome to my blog. I have created this blog as a way to share my collection of rare and hard to find semiconductors. I started this hobby when I was working in the electronics industry during a time when PCs were becoming a part of everyday life, before the smartphone and portable computing. In my lifetime, I have seen cell phones turn into miniature computers that make our 1980s XT type PCs look like ancient paperweights.  Fast forward to 2022, when we find ourselves in a semiconductor shortage and a supply chain nightmare. People are unable to buy new cars because manufacturer aren't able to find common semiconductors.
